Receptionist

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and friendly Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for OTIS FCU, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service for our members and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Acknowledging and maintaining visual contact of members entering and leaving the building.
  • Greeting and directing members to the appropriate staff person.
  • Answering basic questions about our services.
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities and cross-selling services to members.
  • Maintaining records and preparing reports.
  • Performing other related duties, such as answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, and faxing documents.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Experience: 1-3 years of similar or related experience
  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Other Skills: Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate; ability to operate all types of office equipment including computer, copy machine, fax, and telephone.

Loan Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and friendly Loan Officer to join our team. As a member of our lending team, you will assist members with their consumer and real estate lending needs, analyze loan requests (including Indirect Lending), and make credit decisions based on limited lending policy and authorizations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a passion for helping our members achieve their financial goals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Interviewing member loan applicants and online applications to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.
  • Analyzing the current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Deciding to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision.
  • Explaining loan programs to members, evaluating their needs, and recommending loan options including appropriate ancillary products.
  • Establishing the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviewing them with the member.
  • Keeping informed of current trends in consumer credit.
  • Participating in sales development activities.
  • Completing other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Experience: 1-3 years of similar or related experience
  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Interpersonal Skills: Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.
