Teen Flex Accounts
OTIS FCU’s Teen Flex Account is a flexible account option specially designed for our members who are 13 to 15 years old! Teen Flex members are rewarded for saving through our Deposit Perks program and have the ability to open a Checking Account with a Loyalty Rewards Visa Debit Card! Teen Flex Accounts can be opened with a parent or guardian and with a minimum of $15.
Teen Flex Account Features
Deposit Perks*: Get rewarded with a gift for saving when reaching certain deposit milestones (for the first $250 in accumulated deposits, followed by an additional $500 in accumulated deposits)! Gift options will vary and may range from games to Visa gift cards.
Teen Flex Checking**: Includes a Teen Flex Loyalty Rewards Visa Debit Card, with all the same benefits of our traditional Loyalty Rewards Visa Debit Card, some of which include:
- Earn points for every purchase, which can be redeemed for cash back, merchandise, and more!
- Conveniently add your Debit Card to your Mobile Wallet to make purchases using your mobile device.
- Overdraft Protection* (opt-in required).
- Fee-free ATM withdrawals via the CO-OP ATM Network, with over 150 locations in Maine and over 30,000 nationwide.
24/7 Online & Mobile Banking Access**: No matter where you are, OTIS is with you every step of the way with our digital banking services. Access your account 24/7 with OTIS Online, our online banking platform, or download our easy-to-use OTIS Mobile app!
Direct Deposit**: Direct Deposit through ACH is a safe, simple, and secure way to electronically make deposits, and funds are immediately available!
* Postcards will be sent to the address on file to notify members when reaching these milestones. Offer is valid for OTIS FCU Teen Flex Account members only. Only qualifying deposits to Teen Flex Savings Accounts will count toward our Deposit Perks program. The Teen Flex Deposit Perks program expires on a member’s 16th birthday. Prizes listed for our Deposit Perks program are subject to change without notice and are while supplies last. OTIS FCU reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time. In the event of mistreatment of the program, OTIS FCU reserves the right to deny prizes. All prizes claimed are final. The Teen Flex Account primary or joint member must be present with postcard to claim prize with Teller. Limit one (1) prize per deposit milestone per member. Some additional restrictions may apply. $250 Level Gift: Member is eligible after first $250 in accumulated deposits since opening their Teen Flex Savings Account or since system transition on 2/27/2024. $500 Level Gift: Member is eligible after an additional $500 in accumulated deposits after reaching $250 milestone, for a total of $750 in accumulated deposits. Any gifts or incentives awarded in relation to this program may result in issuance of a 1099 if the aggregated fair market value is $10.00 or more.
