Loan Officer

We are seeking an experienced Loan Officer to join our growing lending team. In this role you will assist members with their consumer and real estate lending needs, analyze loan requests for direct and indirect lending, and make credit decisions based on limited lending policy and authorizations. The ideal candidate will contribute to the positive growth of the Loan Department, maintain professionalism, provide service and support for members and staff, and have a passion for helping our members achieve their financial goals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Interviewing member loan applicants and reviewing online applications.
  • Conducting credit risk assessments.
  • Approving or disapproving loan requests. Forwarding requests to higher levels if needed.
  • Explaining loan programs to members, evaluating their needs, and recommending loan options including appropriate ancillary products.
  • Establishing terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviewing them with the member.
  • Keeping informed of current trends in consumer credit.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Experience: 1-3 years of similar or related experience
  • Education: High school education or GED
  • Interpersonal Skills: Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Trustworthiness and diplomacy; ability to build sound relationships with companies and/or individuals.
  • Other Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and friendly Teller to join our team. Working on the teller line, you will assist members with their financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a desire to provide outstanding member service in a dynamic, professional environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Receiving and processing member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; selling money orders to members; and transferring amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • Balancing cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Welcoming members, providing routine information concerning services, and directing members to appropriate departments.
  • Posting transactions to member accounts and maintaining member records.
  • Cross-selling credit union services.
  • Performing other related duties, such as answering the telephone and faxing documents.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Experience: 1-12 months of similar or related experience
  • Education: High school education or GED
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a high degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
