A Message from Kim Turner, President & CEO of OTIS FCU
Dear Members,
I am writing to you today to address the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) and how this relates to our organization and your financial needs. Out of concern for the health and well-being of our employees, our members, and the wider community, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend all in-branch banking.
As I am sure you are aware, according to the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 is spreading rapidly in the United States, and according to the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the positive cases in Maine are increasing at record levels.
Effective Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 and until further notice, the branch lobby and offices of OTIS FCU will again be closed to credit union business.
Please read the following information below carefully to understand how this will impact your financial needs.
DRIVE-THRU: Our four Drive-Thru lanes will be open during regular business hours. In addition to the normal day-to-day transactions that we currently process at Drive-Thru, we are making accommodations to deliver additional services:
- Shared Branching Transactions (except for Cashier Checks and Money Orders)
- Wires
- Cash Advances
- Instant Issue Debit and Credit Cards
- Loan documents not able to be signed electronically
- We will open the Drive-Thru at 8:00AM on the 1st and 3rd of each month to accommodate the increased transaction volume.
- Call ahead transactions. Call us at (207) 897-0900 to place your transaction ahead of time.
*Please note that we will provide rolled coin curbside if you call ahead with the transaction.
NIGHT DEPOSIT: We have a Night Deposit box located in the first lane of our Drive-Thru, right next to our ATM. Please feel free to utilize as we will be posting these items throughout the day until 4:45 PM. Anything placed in the Night Deposit after 4:45 PM will be posted on the next business day.
DIGITAL SERVICES: Our digital services are available to you 24/7, right from the convenience of your home or wherever you are. These include:
- OTIS Online (Online Banking)
- OTIS Mobile App (Mobile Banking)
- Remote Deposit Capture (Depositing a check through OTIS Mobile)
- Bill Payer (available in OTIS Online & OTIS Mobile)
- OTIS Talk (Automated Phone Banking)
- Online Loan Applications (https://www.otisfcu.coop/loans/)
- Video Conference using Microsoft® Teams (Monday – Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM)
LENDING: Our Loan Department is available to you during business hours via the telephone. Applications can be submitted online 24/7 at https://www.otisfcu.coop/loans/. Feel free to also call our Loan Department at (207) 897-0900 (option 3) to speak with a Loan Officer directly.
ATM: Our ATM is available to you 24/7. If our ATM is not geographically convenient for you, please visit https://www.otisfcu.coop/surcharge-free-atms/ to find surcharge free ATMs on the SURF or CO-OP Networks that may be more convenient to you.

IMPORTANT: Unfortunately during these times, we have to be extra diligent in protecting our identity and financial information. Please be aware of potential scammers during the time when our society is most vulnerable. Please do not give out any personal information (date of birth, SSN, usernames, passwords, etc.) to anyone requesting it. Please do not allow access to your electronics (computers, tablets, or phones) to anyone you do not personally know or trust. Identity theft and fraud are on the rise with unemployment schemes and most recently, people impersonating Central Maine Power. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about any suspicious activity and we will be happy to assist in verifying the legitimacy of it.
